Go Cyclones!

I missed the first Cyclones game of the season, but my parents went and had a good time. I had a lot of fun with Grandma D and I was a very good girl by her account. I'm making up for that today by refusing to take naps longer than 30 minutes. Mommy finally gave in and took a long nap with me so I got some rest. Daddy is home and I wanted him all to myself so I sent Mommy down to post this for me.

I took a bath in the big tub the other night and my parents figured out that suction cups don't stick to the bottom of our tub. I enjoyed surfing. I was all dressed up for Grandma's visit.
Look at my eyelashes! Who needs mascara?
Some kids got to go to the football game. This is my friend Emily hamming it up for the camera. She's a few months older than me. She tailgated, but skipped out on the game to go to bed.
Evan was really hot and disappointed that I didn't come to play. He's going to stay overnight at my house in a couple of weeks.
Gavin was as cool as usual.
Gavin really enjoys football. My parents hope I like it as much as him once they take me to a game during the day.
Look at the cool new uniforms!
I love to make noises. Make sure you have your sound on! Have a great weekend. It's Daddy's last couple of days on the SICU rotation. YAY!!!!

Cooperation

I slept a stretch longer than eight hours last night. Too bad I was up for the day at 5:15am. Beggars can't be choosers. I'm still CIO (crying it out) or rather SIO (screaming it out) to soothe myself to sleep at times, but I was able to get myself to sleep in under 10 minutes last night. I slept from 7:30pm-3:45am. Too bad Mommy didn't go to bed very early.

I also cooperated with Mommy when she took some pictures of me last night. First of all, do you think I'll do okay at my weight check next week? I think I'm looking a little scrawny. I love to be outside! You can kind of see my new smile in this picture.
Mommy played with some pictures again.
My eyes are almost as pretty as Aunt Claudia's. My mommy's sister that is, she has the prettiest dark blue eyes. Here are the best shots of my toofers.
Mommy wanted to put out a word of caution for my cousins. It's no longer fun to let me chew on your fingers!!!!! I will leave marks. I've heard kindergartners, 3rd, and 4th graders are really tasty.

Good Afternoon

Mommy took me to the library this afternoon. I made a friend. He's a boy. Go figure.
I climbed through the red tunnel for the first time also. I did it when Mommy didn't have her camera out.
I was a little dejected because my date with Matthew was postponed until tomorrow. Our nap schedules didn't line up today. That teaches me to resist my morning nap!
I enjoyed exploring the grass in a park after we were done at the library.
I also found a new source of fiber.
The flowers were so pretty. They obviously weren't maintained by my parents. They're really good at killing plants.
Mommy let me sit in the flower garden. She took me out when I started to eat the mulch and flowers.

I get to see Grandma D on Thursday because she's going to take care of me while Mommy and Daddy go to a Cyclones game. Mommy says it's disrespectful to my sleep schedule to keep me up for a football game that starts at 7pm. I think she's just a wuss.

Monkeyin' Around

I did a new trick this morning. Mommy nursed me and I crawled away afterwards instead of getting sleepy. She tried to get me to relax in my crib and I stood up and jumped up and down holding onto the crib rail. It was so much fun! I made lots of cool noises too. Who needs a morning nap? Not me. She's making me hang out in the swing while she types this up for me. As if I'll fall asleep...

I can't talk at all, but Mommy thought I said some complete sentences this morning. Isn't she silly? We were snuggling in bed and she pulled me close to hug me and thought I said, "I like that." Later on she told me she loved me and thought I replied, "love mommy." She's delusional, I tell you.

I'd really rather boss her around some more instead of having her type for me so goodbye for now.

Splish Splash

We did my favorite thing in the world tonight and Mommy took some pictures and video to share with you. Can you tell I'm happy? Yes, I'm still teething. I have four teeth with two still trying to work their way through on top.
I love to splash! Euclid joined in the fun.
Ready for my close-up.
This is Mommy's newest favorite picture of me even though it isn't the best picture of Daddy. Who's more important? In case you don't know how to splash, I did a video that shows you how to do it! Enjoy.

Play Date

Can you say oral fixation? Cheese!
We played with my new toy at the same time. This picture makes my mommy laugh for some reason.
We're playing, why are you trying to get us to look at you?
Matt is very good at standing. He doesn't even need to hold on AND he can walk.
Yum, plastic monkey ears...
Matt liked my duck pat mat. He tried to get the dolphin.
Jamie (Matt's mom) is pretty cool. She lets me use her to pull up.
Our mommies didn't give us any toys to play with so he played with a plastic bottle and I chewed on some car keys.
It's terrible how deprived we are.

P.D.A.

PDA stands for public displays of affection and Mommy is very guilty. We went out to eat last night and she kissed on me in front of the whole world. It's so embarrassing. My parents are so happy they can take me out to eat these days. I sit in my "floppy seat" and eat puffs and chew on ice cubes in my mesh feeder. The key is distraction. After we ate, we went to the pet store. I really loved the birds even though Mommy was scared of them. Daddy gave me a bath and I did an oopsy in there that had to get cleaned up. You can guess who did the dirty work (Mommy). I'm sleeping better now that my parents have taught me that I can't hang out with them at night and I'm not welcome in their bed until morning snuggles. I cry some, but not a whole lot. I've been getting up somewhere between 2 and 4 and then going back to sleep after getting my diaper changed (if needed) and a quick nurse. It makes both of my parents much happier. Mommy can handle getting up with me once a night.

I now have four teeth that have broken through and no others that look close. Daddy and Mommy tried to get some pictures to share with all of you. They ganged up on me.
This is the closeup of the top teeth. You can see that one of them is really out and the other is just peeking through. It's already out more than this picture since it was taken yesterday. The bottom teeth are showing up in pictures now. Mommy was a little concerned that they look crooked and Daddy is already talking about braces. It stinks to be the daughter of a tooth doctor!
