Happy Halloween!

Mama took me to the park yesterday afternoon so I could see the cute cuddle bear that was sighted by some hikers. She found the bear and took some pictures. We first saw her in the parking lot, just hanging out.
Then we followed her into the park. She tried to scare us by crawling around after Mama. She stood up and pounded her hands on her chest. That was a little more threatening. Then she played dead on Mama's lap. She almost tricked us into thinking she was tired. After the little snuggle, she threatened us with sticks. She also ate some sticks. I thought bears were carnivores! The bear grabbed onto Mama's hand and they walked around for a while.
She stopped by the water fountain. As you can see, she's a small bear and can't even reach the faucet. The bear didn't have enough leaves on her so she sat in a heap of them.Even bears get scared and want their Mama's sometimes. My mama held her for a while after that.
The bear really enjoyed sitting on Mama's lap and looking up at the trees.
She came in for a close-up and then we went home and had supper. What's Halloween without something scary? Yes, Mama let me feed myself some avocado yesterday. Aren't you extremely proud of her? She took me to the bath immediately afterwards.

I've learned some more tricks in the last few days. I can say a few things. I call for Mama and Dada in the morning. I call Euclid NoNo. I got that from Mama. Hehe. Mama swears I say "want out" when I'm in my carseat sometimes. Oh, and I said "chicken" on Monday in front of Aunt Claudia. I've been walking holding onto Mama's hand a lot and sometimes I walk a few steps not holding on to anyone. The funnest thing I do is wave my hands. Mama says hello and I wave my hand and even get both going sometimes. I'm a charmer!

Double Digits

I'm 10 months old today! Mommy is finally getting around to updating the blog so you'll have to deal with all of the pictures. She figured out that if she waits to blog until she isn't mad anymore, then the blog might never get updated. She's still steaming angry at the doctor. Mommy knows she's right. She's outraged that the doctor dared to talk to her the way she did, especially when Mommy puts so much effort into feeding me healthy food. How many kids eat fresh avocado, wheat germ, mango, many other healthy solids, and are lucky enough to breast feed for so long?

Anyway, here's what I've been up to. Mommy swore I wouldn't watch TV until I was two... Savoring my cereal...
Talking with my mouth full of food (and teeth!)...
Playing with Mommy and The Buddy...
Laughing...
Bathing...
Standing...Partying...Sliding...
Spinning...Posing...Pretending...Playing (my, how the times have changed with how I play with my play gym)...
Brushing my teeth...
Getting some sun...
Seeing the sights...
Campaniling...
Cuddling...
Climbing...Visiting...
Brewing (Dada did this while I was busy with my grandparents)...
Relaxing with no baby to take care of...
Cheating on me with another baby...
Attacking my cousins...
Getting seriously sick of this costume (Mommy is going to take some better pictures of it one of these days)...
Showing the neighbors how to restrain a vicious dog...
Enjoying being in control...Watching the leaves change and blow away...

Grumpy People

We just got back from my 9 month well baby visit and both of us are grumpy. I got a flu shot and Mama got told she must not be doing something right since I'm skinny. The doctor also made the mistake of mentioning the other doctor that kept us hostage in the hospital after I was born. Mama is in a bad mood. At least Dada surprised us and came to my appointment.

When she's in a better mood, she'll share pictures from Friday's Halloween party and our weekend visit with family. I spent a day with Grandma and Grandpa D while Mama and Dada went to a football game.

Hold Me!

Terri got the hint and sent a few pictures from the visit on Friday. I cooperated with her and smiled. Here I am with Wayne. He's a snuggly guy!
I enjoyed my second football game. Mommy and Dada had me all bundled up and I slept during part of the game.
Gavin did an impression of his daddy.
I tried to visit Liesie, but I couldn't see her very well!
Mommy held onto me while Dada fed me. She didn't nurse me at the game because of the last incident.
Evan came down to visit me at halftime.
I wasn't very interested in him because there was something much more exciting going on at the moment.
ISUCF'V'MB!
Yay, band!
I had a fun time with my grandparents this weekend, but Mommy didn't take any pictures. Crazy, huh? Here's a picture from today though. Grandma H bought me some new pants since mine are too long.
This is what I did while Mommy fixed lunch. I'm a floor potato!
Mmmm....string....
I've really needed to be held the last few days so Mommy held me to get some really happy faces.
Hi, camera!
...and then he said, "Why the long face?" Get it, Mommy? Hahahaha...
Goofy girls!
Yesterday I learned how bells work at the library. I tried to ring a bell by holding onto it and then I figured out you need to hold the string so it makes more noise. I got the attention of everyone around me. They should know better than to have bell toys at the library. Sheesh!
