Pretty Mommy

When Mommy came in to get me out of my crib this morning I pointed at her and said "Pretty Mommy!" Yep, I scored some big points with that one. That is all.

Matt!

I had a fun time with Matt yesterday. We met up at our park and played together really well. We both enjoyed swinging for a long time.Mommy snuggled me when we shared a snack. She's always eating my food these days!On Saturday I tried to teeter totter with another kid and he wouldn't play with me. Matt was very happy to oblige me.I love sand and teeter totters. You can't see it in the picture, but I was covered in a combo of sun screen and sand from doing a somersault off of the teeter totter earlier. I just shook it off because I'm tough.I had a bath after lunch because of the sand problem and when I woke up from my nap I had the best hair ever. Yes, that's a curl in the middle on the top of my head.Let's see, I've been up to a lot lately. I have a cold and have been making a mess when I sneeze. I must have caught it from Daddy. I've learned some new words. Monday's word was rain. My favorite word is "naughty." I like to tell Bubba that he's naughty and I like to do things that are naughty. I ask Mommy if I'm being naughty all the time. It's really funny when I am!!! I was putting my foot in Bubba's water dish when Mommy got the picture of me above.
.
I'm going to visit family next week. We're heading there on Monday and will probably come back to see Daddy on Thursday. I had a great time last time so we're really looking forward to it. I've been asking for Papa every day so I need to see him.

Love You!

We had a good time at my favorite park this morning. It was really fun to have both of my parents there. Daddy spotted me while I climbed. The stairs are just too boring. I like a challenge.I went down the slides a bunch of times. I do it all by myself by going down on my belly.Mommy spotted me on the ladder and gave me a final boost. This is the same ladder I climbed last week and Mommy didn't get to me until I was halfway up on my own. Yikes!I played for more than an hour and we sat at the picnic table and had drinks and snacks. Mommy told me that she loved me (for the 186th time today) and I told her "love you." Boy did she get happy about that. I usually say "I know," which gets a good laugh.

Daddy and Mommy are going to take me to the pool this afternoon if I don't sleep too late. I've been taking erratic naps lately. They range from 2-4.5 hours long and it isn't predictable. I'm just really tired sometimes!

Chug

Mommy let me empty out my cup today and I did a fantastic job. She cheered me on.After I finished my milk, I did some silly faces for Mommy.I climbed into a chair and pretended to have seconds.Once I noticed the camera, Mommy let me take a picture of her.We haven't been up to a whole lot, but I've been making Mommy happy. I cleaned up after myself a couple of days ago without her asking. I put all of my toys away in the correct place. I'm also adding to my song repertoire. I now do actions for Pat-a-cake, Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. Mommy brought me with to her doctor's appointment on Thursday morning and I was an absolute angel the whole time. My little brother or sister is going to have an impossible act to follow!

Teeth

Daddy noticed that I have two new teeth today. They're my bottom "two-year" molars. That means I only have two teeth to go. Isn't it amazing that my teeth come in with no noticeable change in me? I don't get crabby or anything.

Daddy fed me some donuts this weekend. He gets them for us once a weekend. Yum! I had a great day today. I got out of bed at about 8am, went and played at the park for a couple of hours with Matt, got groceries, then took a four hour nap. Mommy made a yummy casserole with hot dogs in it for supper. I really enjoy parks now that I can do slides on my own. Mommy even found out I can do ladders now. It makes her nervous so she spots me the whole time (when she's fast enough, that is). I get to see Matt again tomorrow. Yay!

Our Anniversary

One year ago, Matthew and I had our first play date. Mommy and I are so glad to have him and Jamie in our lives. They're awesome! He came over yesterday morning and I was so happy to see him. I gave him hugs and he kissed me on my eyelids. How romantic!I was all silly smiles. He enjoys doing a lot of the same things as me. We love Murray on Sesame Street. He's all about food and is a gentleman. He looks away when I show my belly.I'm a little jealous of Froggy.Since Mommy and Jamie are both going to the doctor for our younger siblings (they're due about a week apart), we get to take turns playing at our houses. I love to visit over at his place. He lets me sit right by him on the couch. We both have a great time with blocks. He's an artist and I'm an athlete. We're both big fans of water. He even has a funny dog! We've come a long way in the last year. This is what we looked like last August. Awwwww...It's so fun having a friend that I see almost every week, sometimes more than once a week. We're going to miss each other when I move away. We'll just have to enjoy every date until then!

We're Back!

A nice person came and fixed our Internet today and I'm so glad to be back to share with you. We've had a great two weeks. I'm learning new, cuter tricks every day. Mommy caught one on video. For some reason, she can't get the video to load here, but it loaded in an old post directly below the "No Internet" post. Enjoy. The other new trick is to smell my feet and say "STINK!" I'm hilarious. My daddy really liked it when I waved hello to him when he got me up in the morning this weekend. Mommy is still waiting for me to greet her in that fashion.

Daddy brought his surgical hats home one day and I did a fashion show.

I've also gotten tall enough to pull things off of the kitchen counter. My favorite thing to pull off of the counter is my food tray and bibs. I like to pretend that I'm eating.Daddy hasn't been home much, but we've made the most of it. He loves to join me in my dance parties. We went to a pool party and they took a picture of me when I was having a personal moment. My mom is cruel. Here I am looking a little better.Speaking of pools, I've also been going to swimming lessons. We're learning synchronized swimming since Daddy hasn't been able to go to any of the lessons. Mommy really needs to work on her technique.

I've been watching way too much Sesame Street lately. I love it and forget to blink. At least I get up and dance with the music.Mommy has to get me up from my nap so she has to end this a little prematurely. I decided to wake up early today because Mommy told me that Nana and Papa would be here when I woke up. Too bad they aren't here yet!
