Family

I think that family is very important. I treasure the time I get to spend with my mommy. Charlotte slept in for a few days and this is how we spent our time.My cousins (first cousins once removed, to be exact) Brenna and Cael came to visit on Saturday morning. We played and played and played. I loved having them over and took a four hour nap afterwards.Brenna let me ride down the stairs on her lap as many times as I wanted. She has almost as much energy as me!I was so sleepy even after my nap. All I wanted to do was cuddle my daddy. All Mommy wanted to do was smooch my cheeks. Look at those babies! We've been having family party night every Saturday night for a while now. This is what it looks like (minus Mommy). We put on a movie and eat junk food. This week Buddy even got to eat some junk food. I didn't eat my cheeseburger so he took care of it for me when he had the chance. My sister loves smooches on her cheeks. She also loves to look at the lights and animals in her play gym. It's big enough for two!We went to the park this morning and I went on the tire swing. It's serious business because you have to hold on tight or you'll fall and bonk your head and have to go to the doctor for some medicine!
Charlotte is going to make Mommy blog for her too (if she has the time).

Snuggles

We had a really snuggly day today so it's only fitting that Mommy took some pictures of me in my jammies. Charlotte slept in until 9:30 so we had two hours together to snuggle, watch cartoons, and play with no interruption. It was just what we both needed. I didn't get put in time out today at all. I also helped Mommy get the oil changed and showed my little sister off to the little old ladies that were waiting with us.I've been really into my learning toys lately. I love anything to do with the alphabet and I LOVE puzzles. I'm also an excellent singer (just not during music class).
We're going to have some fun company in the morning and Daddy has some vacation days. It'll be his last vacation before his new job. Can you believe we're moving in about a month and a half? I'm already preparing for having Leif over to play. We got a tunnel and tent and I can't wait to share it with him at our new house!

More Craziness

The craziness continues at our house. Daddy and Mommy have the house sold, but it's going to require a bunch of work and I might be eating ramen noodles for a few months. At least it's sold. Now I get to help Mommy pick out my new sheets for my big girl bed. Decisions, decisions...Nana and Papa came to visit for a day and took good care of us while Mommy made a bunch of phone calls. They were even nice enough to take pictures of all the fun.I love to squeeze my sister!Papa gave Charlotte some extra snuggles he had left over after he was done with me.She sure smiles a lot!My sister and I typically nap at the same time in the afternoon (at least for a while). Charlotte likes to snuggle during her naps. Mommy figured out a good trick to be able to get some work done during nap time. Good Buddy!Charlotte likes Red Bird as much as I did when I was little. She sucks on his wing.We went to Barnes and Noble the other day and I played with the train set for a long time. I went around and around and around.Grandma is coming to stay for a few days and Grandpa is going to be here on Tuesday morning. My music class starts on Wednesday morning. We're also getting the side of the house excavated this week to fix the water problem. Mommy assures me that it isn't as cool as it sounds. I like it already. I saw the cool flags in the ground and picked them and ran around. Oops!

Craziness

Mommy and Daddy have been dealing with issues with selling the house so it's been a while since we've blogged. Sorry about that! Hopefully things will get figured out soon and we'll be back to semi-normal.

Last Friday, I went over to Matthew's house and had a fun time in his backyard. We both love sand.We went to a fun party on Saturday and Charlotte took a little nap while the rest of us ate lunch. I don't think Jane minded holding my little sister one bit!The craziness from the house is centered around the inspection report that was done last week. Moisture was found in the basement that we were completely unaware of because it was in the back of the unfinished storage area. It turns out that the tiling is blocked so they're still working on getting that fixed. This is not pretty!Charlotte had a good old time this afternoon while all sorts of people came and went and looked at various things in the house.Daddy did some investigating of his own. His slim build made him the perfect man for the job.Daddy had better not gain any weight!

Three wonderful years

Three years ago today my mommy was recovering from a surgery that helped create me. Mommy and Daddy had problems getting the stork to schedule a delivery so they had to go to a special doctor to do something called IVF in order to get things going. I was headed in their direction after April 5, 2007, but it took about 9 months for me to arrive. That's quite the wait!

We didn't do a whole lot during the day today to celebrate since Daddy was back at work so Mommy got me all dressed up and took me to the carousel at the mall after dinner. I insisted that I needed to wear my cowboy hat to ride the horse. **Note from Mommy: Mina has decided that she'll wear her sunhat inside and has decided to wear her mittens now that the snow has melted.I had to wait my turn to ride the carousel. I was a very patient girl.I loved the ride!Mommy says that I look like a little doll come to life in this picture.Where'd Mina go?Daddy gave me lots of kisses and thanked Mommy for all the shots she went through to make me.And now we have another miracle too. I take credit for Charlotte. I "fixed" Mommy's body which helped make my little sister.

For more of the story of my "Miracle Day", check out the blog entries from the last couple of years: http://minacatherine.blogspot.com/2009/04/miracle-day.html and http://minacatherine.blogspot.com/2008/04/miracle-day-celebration.html

The Easter bunny brought me some fun stuff this year. I got this cool clock puzzle, fruit snacks, clothes, and money in eggs that were hidden all over the main level.I really had to concentrate to find all the eggs. The Buddy tried to help.
Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day for Mommy. The house is getting appraised at 11am, inspected at 12:30, and then reviewed with the buyers at 3pm. Mommy told them they could come as long as we didn't have to be gone so I get to take my nap in my crib. We're going to tot lot in the morning so I won't have a chance to mess up the house. This should be the last major hurdle in the house selling process before closing.

Fun

It's been a great week. Daddy has been in on all of our normal activities and we've even done a couple of extra fun things. I can't wait until he's home more in a couple of months! Mommy took me to the park with some friends and to a picnic after Kidercise on Friday. It was really windy so she had us do our picnic in the back of the car. I loved looking out the back at all the birds.I had a lot to say to Mommy. It was mostly, "What's that? What are these?"Daddy snapped a picture of me in Kidercise class. I'm the one in the orange shirt and pink pants. Trust me, my outfit matched if you saw the front. We watched a pig movie for family date night tonight and I snuggled with Charlotte. She gives me huge smiles. She likes to sit on my lap.Cheese! Her favorite place to be is in Mommy's arms. That's where you see the biggest smiles.Tomorrow is Easter and then Monday is my special day. I wonder what my parents have cooked up next?!
