Vacation - Part Two

Daddy is back at work today so I talked Mommy into blogging for me. We enjoyed the weather and went bike riding a couple of times and went on walks during our home vacation. We also got some stuff done around the house. I was a big help. On Sunday, we went and visited friends in Des Moines and then spent our last day at home lazing around. Here I am running away from Mommy.

If you look really hard, then you can sort of see the landscaping that Daddy worked on.

I had to be tricked into my bike trailer with food and baby doll. They've temporarily given up on the helmet.This isn't so bad! I love to ride under the Interstate in the tunnel. It makes cool noises.Amazingly, the camera wasn't out very much so I don't have many pictures to show you. Mommy will take more pictures when she's bored. However, she took me to the library this morning and didn't get to sit for more than 5 seconds because I kept running away and getting into trouble. Stay tuned for some blurry pictures.

The other exciting news is that I weaned from nursing last week. I haven't had any mommy milk since last Wednesday. Don't feel too bad for Mommy, she's still getting lots of snuggles from me. I could care less where I get my fluids from.

Vacation - Part One

Daddy is on a ten day vacation so we've been busy. We went to a wedding on Saturday and then visited with family for a few days. Mommy and Daddy unpacked and got settled in at home yesterday. I had a play date with Matthew this morning and then we went to the mall for lunch. I've been pretty uncooperative for the camera lately, but there are a few pictures you might enjoy.

Leif is almost one. Can you believe it?I loved the swings.

I also love Aunt Emily. Ah, back support. Mommy thinks we'll have to use this one for high school graduation since we should graduate the same year.I'll have Mommy post the second part after Monday because that's Daddy's last day off.

Videopalooza

Mommy has been doing videos of me, but has been lazy about posting them. We're going to see family in our future hometown tomorrow, but here's a taste of what I've been up to.

I'm highly skilled with buckles. This video is kind of like watching paint dry.

Here I am doctoring my baby doll. I give shots to the mouth because that's what Daddy does.

All Berryhill

In celebration of Mother's Day, my mother dressed me up Berryhill style. I'd totally fit in with my maternal great grandmother's side of the family in this get-up. At least I'm safe! I needed to be dressed this way to go to Lowe's for some flower shopping.We planted some flowers in the front and back. I got filthy and my parents washed me in the kitchen sink before my nap. That was fun. They really don't like dirt.Check out my cool shoes! Yes, that's zebra print you're seeing.I bet you can guess what I had for supper. Mommy was feeling around and can tell that my molars are starting to get bumpy. That means those teeth will come in sometime in the next 6 months. I have a runny nose from my canines that are still coming through. Six more teeth and I'll be done!
We had a great Mother's Day. The highlight of the day was when I ate steak. That's a big deal since I don't usually eat meat. Daddy had the day off so that made Mommy very happy.

In the Wild

A rare sighting caught on camera yesterday afternoon.Mommy let me air out for a bit yesterday afternoon since we were outside. She's scared to let me air out inside since we had a fiasco that involved major scrubbing of my toy school bus. This is my new toy.I love to climb up the slide.Grandma is visiting and she waited for me below. I found out that it's hard to slide on a bare bottom.Mommy helped me out and gave me a nice slippery outfit to wear.I also like to spin the wheel.Mommy gave in and bought me a baby doll stroller and a baby doll yesterday. The doll is really funny because it coughs and cries and has a fever. She thought it would be good so I could recognize the signs of Swine Flu.

Daddy Days

Daddy had the whole weekend off and we took full advantage of our time together. On Saturday morning we hung out while Mommy went to some garage sales. We banished Mommy from the house from Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning so we could have some special time together. She went and played with her friends while Daddy and I had a date. I continued to hang out with Daddy even after she got home. She didn't mind because I'm still a mommy's girl for the most part. Daddy thinks I'm pretty great.I'm his little helper. We cleaned both of the cars on the inside.I finally got brave enough to try out the bike trailer. My parents lured me in with buckles to play with.We have some pretty flowers in front of our house.Speaking of pretty - look at my diapers and Daddy's lawn! We've been digging out dandelions every evening and the hard work has finally paid off. I help by putting the dandelions in a bucket so he can dump them over the back of the fence.More buckles! Ooooo...Bubba dropped his ball and I reached and reached and finally got it.And it was delicious!When babies attack!Yep, we're buds.Seriously, he's in love with me. It's sickening.Mommy didn't find exactly what she wanted at the garage sales, but she did find this guy. His name is Norman and he's my gigantic giraffe friend.My feet don't even touch the floor when I ride on him.
