It's been so long since an update that I don't even know where to begin. There's been football, a wedding, a vacation, and just general busy days and nights. Mom hasn't been taking very many pictures either. I went and saw Thomas the Train with Nana and Papa while my parents were in Philadelphia. I loved it (as you can tell by my ear grabbing). I pinched Papa's ear so hard that I drew blood. He was really flattered.Thomas!We went and visited Grandma Rullestad. She was about ready for a nap.We saw Great Uncle Kenny and his horses. I didn't want to get too close. Charlotte wasn't along or she would have gone crazy. She LOVES horses!
That's it for my very incomplete update. Hey, it's better than nothing, right?

We went and ate at Friendship Haven with Great Grandma Wubben last week. I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet corn and the residents enjoyed listening to my voice. I was semi-behaved.Daddy had an accident with a utility knife so we went and saw Dr. Knox and he sewed up Daddy's wrist. Daddy needs to be more careful.It rained the other day so Charlotte and I splashed in the gigantic puddles.Aunt Claudia (on Mom's side) had a birthday last week. I decided to get all dressed up and do a dance for her. I told Mom to get Charlotte dressed up too. We were awesome.Claudia loved our dance.Mom and Daddy told me I could go to more football games if I behaved myself last weekend. I was really really good. However, I didn't cooperate with the camera. At least I'm funny!The skydivers jumped out of airplanes last weekend. We went to the Children's Forest for a hike and then went and watched the skydivers at the airport. It was so exciting and fun that I had to hold my ear.Bubba loved going on a walk with us too.

School Days

Summer is winding down, but we did some last activities before school started. We went to the final Market on Central a couple of weekends ago. There was music and bouncy houses.We went to the fair and the zoo, as you can see in Charlotte's post. Most of the time was spent at the pool or splash pad or bumming around at home. I've been doing lots of writing and drawing on my magna doodle. Mama LOVED this picture I drew of a sheep.My first day of preschool was August 23rd. I go on Tuesday and Thursday morning this year. Mama got out the camera so I decided to give her a show. Enjoy.I'm a funny kid! There weren't any frame-worthy pictures of me with a big cheesy grin, but at least I made my mom laugh. She told me that it's important for me to be happy and have fun. I just love preschool.

Here's a look at the beginning of my first day. First we line up and wait for our super nice teacher to open the door. She greets us and welcomes us and has a big happy smile.Once we get into the room, we hang our stuff on our hooks for our bags and jackets (once it gets cold). It says my name in a green triangle so I can find it easily.After we hang up our stuff, then it's time for hand washing. The hand washing is to try to keep our germs from getting each other sick. I'm a really good hand washer.The last thing we do before our parents leave is sit at one of the tables and do activities. I chose to do Candy Land BINGO. They change the activities every week so that's a fun thing to get to do every time.I told Mama good-bye and gave her a kiss and she left with Charlotte. Look at my empty seat! They went grocery shopping while I did a painting craft, recess, singing, snacks, and lots of other fun things.Mama stayed dry-eyed. I'm so proud of her!Charlotte and Mama came and picked me up after a couple of hours and we went swimming. I was just as goofy, but even more happy after school. I love school so much. I've also started tumbling classes. All of my coaches are really nice. They're going to teach me how to be a circus performer. You just wait and see!

Hair

I had my hair cut for the first time this past Friday. It went well.

What? You think my hair has gotten a little crazy? I'll show you crazy.I was bursting with excitement during my before pictures.This is what the back looked like before the trim. It was getting a bit heavy and snarled.I sat up on a booster seat while the lady did my hair. She wet it down with a spray bottle just like Mom does.I stayed still and let her trim my hair. I had a little smile on my face the whole time.Mom collected the first curls, but there were some on the floor. Yep, Mom just had to take a picture of them. What a weirdo!I was looking so cool after my hair cut.Ta da! Look at how beautiful the back looks now.We went to Central Perk and had caramels and raspberry iced tea afterwards. Yum! We also went to the library and Target, but Mom didn't take any pictures of that.Charlotte was happy to see me when I got home, but I don't think she noticed my new do. Fail on her part!I was feeling kind of sick when we got home so I decided to jump it out after I had some medicine. My parents let me do this.I got a hold of the camera and took a bunch of pictures. This is what my parents were doing while I played. Canoodling!I'm a grumpy old troll/big bad wolf.Here's a face that looks just like Dad. Aren't we cute?
It's been a fun weekend so far and we still have a lot in store. Mom will update for us in a few days.

Mom's been slacking so prepare yourself for a long update with loads of pictures. Since our last post, we went to a birthday party for Gavin. I insisted on wearing my yellow fairy dress that Mom bought at Market on Central. I'm not really that into girly things, but I love yellow!Here's the birthday boy and his sister Vanessa. They're going to have a new baby sister or brother very soon. I bet they'll be great helpers!There were lots of kids at the party and they tried to get a picture of all of them. We're missing the three babies, but us older kids cooperated for a split second.Go Cyclones!We had lots of yummy food and then it was pinata time. Vanessa was the live music. I was the muscle.Take that!The pinata wasn't breaking at all so Gavin took a dandelion picker to it and stabbed away.At one point we both took bats to the dinosaur.The pinata did get opened up eventually. I went to the aquatic center with Nana and Papa while Mom had a special day with Charlotte. We got there right when it opened so it wasn't too busy at first. I love swimming! There aren't any pictures of it, but I've gotten the courage to jump off the diving board into Dad's arms. I can also swim with my puddle jumpers on in deep water, as long as someone is within my reach because I panic sometimes.Oh, and Macy showed up when we were at the pool so we played for a bit. I love living in the same town as my cousins because we see them all over the place. It makes for a happy surprise.A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to color pictures and mailed them to a few people. I sent a picture to Dad, Matthew, and Dr. Knox. Dr. Knox sent me a drawing and it was soooo funny. Ewww, Hawkeyes! That's what I kept saying and then I giggled and giggled.Matthew sent me a Cars picture (the blue one) and I had Mom put it up on our special bulletin board in the kitchen. I can look at it whenever I want.Community Orchards opened for the season on August 1st so we went as soon as the weather cooled down enough. Milo and I tried out the trikes.I made terrible faces while I did my goat impression.Little sis and I were enthralled by the goats and fed them lots of corn.I did sit down for a few seconds. There are pictures of me in this train from when I was a baby and still used diapers. Can you believe that?Mommy told me to look out the window and make a cute face. This is what I did. We always do a "How Tall this Fall" picture so we went ahead and did it the other day even though it isn't fall yet.Anya decided to be a cow. She's hilarious.Here's how tall my big cousin Anya is. She's over 5 feet!Grandma helped Charlotte get measured and I decided to get in the picture too. What's better than one girl? Two!We have lots more plans in store so we'll see you soon. Until then, I'll leave you with some brags. I'm working on learning to spell words. I can spell moon, dog, and mom. I'm very interested in spelling and ask my parents how to spell things all the time. I can identify my letters and can write some of my letters dependably - H, O, M, P, and A. I can sometimes identify rhyming words. My parents like that I'm curious about rhyming and ask whether things rhyme all the time. I like to make up knock-knock jokes. Most of them make absolutely no sense, but I make everyone laugh with my giggles. I love hidden pictures puzzles and learning video games. I'm awesome. I'm so ready for school.
