Christmas Party Time

We went to a family Christmas party on Saturday and my nana took a bunch of pictures of me. She carefully documented my examination of the breakable nativity scene (no, I didn't break anything, but not from lack of trying).Great Aunt Shirley warmed me up with horsies and chocolate. I gave out eskimo kisses to a bunch of the family after a while.Even amidst all the commotion, I was able to take a short reading break with some baby doll friends.No one could resist me for too long though.I loved this beep beep.Do you think I had enough admirers?Life is good!There was a bunch of candy right at my level. Daddy tried to persuade me to look at my fun new book instead. I played with it today when there wasn't chocolate to distract me.We did a gift exchange and Kareena gave me this beautiful coat and hat. I've never seen so many excited women once I had it on.The perfect Christmas picture.And just in case all those sweet pictures were affecting my street cred...yo, what's up?
Merry Christmas everyone! I don't know if I'll be back on again until after the holidays since we're going out of town in a couple of days.

Potty

I had a milestone night tonight. Mommy has been putting me on the big girl potty whenever I have asked in the last few days. This afternoon I sat on the potty for half an hour and read some books. Mommy kept me company, but she seemed awfully bored. I sat on the potty again before night night time and Mommy folded laundry. All of a sudden, I made a tinkling sound so I stood up to see what happened. I went pee in the potty! Mommy cheered me on and wiped off my little mess. She didn't get mad at me at all so I sat back down on the potty for a while. Maybe next time I'll try to get all the pee into the potty so my feet don't have to get washed off!

Side note from Mommy:
I don't want to be potty training with Mina right now, but she's asking to use the potty so I can't very well say no. Yes, I realize that she'll most likely revert even if she's well trained by the time her sister arrives. Too bad she didn't decide to use the potty a couple of months ago when it would have been better timing.

Holiday Parties

Mommy and Daddy got all dressed up for a party on Friday night. I got to stay home with Grandpa and Grandma while they went out so I was really happy and excited about that.We went to visit Santa on Saturday. Why in the world would anyone want to sit on his lap? I think the pictures speak for themselves.This is as close as I let that jolly guy get to me.If Mommy and Daddy were sending out proper Christmas cards this year, then this picture would have been the winner.On Sunday we had more visitors and Daddy woke me up from my nap. I was shy and needed to snuggle for a while, but I still smiled for my Nana and Papa.Serious snuggles and kisses.My great grandma turned 80 on Saturday so she came with Papa and Nana to bring me some of her cake.Big smile (practicing for pictures in a week).I loved great grandma's cane and used it for a microphone. Mommy did a video so I'll have to make her edit it to share sometime.We had pizza for supper and I ate a bunch of black olives. My cousin Hailey loves olives too.I rediscovered my favorite book and I've already had Mommy read it five times today. What's better than learning about teeth?I wasn't all that cooperative for pictures with the birthday girl.I showed Papa my newest Minnie Mouse ornament.Merry Christmas!

Mommy's Little Helper

I helped Mommy watch Matthew this morning while his mommy went to her doctor's appointment. Here's a sampling of what went on.

Matthew's favorite thing to do was chase the dog while my favorite thing to do was to eat his snacks.He used the stroller much differently than me.Real men push pink strollers.He didn't stop smiling all morning. You should have seen his smile when I helped Mommy clean his bottom (much to Mommy's surprise). I grabbed a wipe and wiped his booty for him while he giggled. Mommy thought it was hilarious. I was just practicing for Charlotte. After he got his diaper changed I laid down on the floor and insisted on a fresh diaper too.Matthew is awesome!

Snow

Mommy took me out to tot lot this morning and I had to get all bundled up because it was cold outside. It snowed early this morning. It wasn't snowing while we were out and about, but it started to snow again a few minutes after we got home. Good timing, huh? We had a great time at tot lot since we got the place mostly to ourselves. The only other moms there were people that Mommy knew so she had fun talking to friends while I battled it out and won the little tikes car war.I think the thumb parts are a little unnecessary.This is what Mommy gets when she tells me to do my big smile.Yesterday I helped Mommy put the groceries away after we went shopping. Daddy has been on a cost-saving, flavor suppressing Smart Ones kick. I made a whole pile of meals for him. Too bad our house is too small for my very own kitchen or I would have put them in the freezer where they belonged.I hope everyone is staying warm and safe during the winter weather!

Hiya!

We got back from visiting family yesterday and Mommy is pretty much caught up. I thought she should share the pictures with you all. Nana's basement playroom has made some progress. I used the new table and chairs to do some intense coloring.Daddy did some hunting on Friday and Saturday morning. He didn't have as much success as last year, but I still got to see a pretty bird.Grandpa had to pose with the birdie too.Here's Tater. He's Grandpa's hunting dog and he's really cute. I like him a lot.We didn't get any pictures playing with the cousins. I had so much fun with them that all the pictures would have been a blur anyway. I gave them lots and lots of kisses and have taken to saying "hiya" all the time. She was thrilled to get to sleep in this morning since I was back at home. I missed my bed! We aren't leaving again until Christmas/birthday time.

Free Kisses

Kisses were my theme today. I kissed tons of people and everyone loved it. My Great Grandma H. had a birthday party at a restaurant in this huge building with all sorts of flashing lights. I had a great time eating all of the buffet food and the desserts. Mommy remembered the camera this time so we took a few pictures to share with you.

My cousin let me borrow her purse. I'm such a little lady.Grandma and Macy entertained Leif and I.Leif was kind of serious since he missed his nap.I caught a short nap on the way there so I had plenty of energy.Grandma is hilarious. I talked about her all the way home.Here I am with the birthday girl. This picture was taken right before I gave her a kiss. We're a happy bunch!I can't wait to see family again in a few days. I'm going to see all four grandparents on Wednesday and the rest of the crew on Thursday. They'd better be ready for some fun!
