Making Friends

I've been so busy making new friends in the last week that I forgot to update the blog. Sorry about that! We've been going to the tot lot (an indoor playground) and swimming every week and seeing some of the same people each time. I finished up my music classes last Wednesday and participated really well. I had Matthew's daddy visit me on Saturday night. He was fun! My daddy was home all weekend and we played and played and played. Mommy left us alone together since he wasn't on call.

I've been doing a lot of coloring, diaper changing (of my dolls), dog combing, cleaning, and stripping. Do you like the off the shoulder look? Matthew is finally back in town so we're going to catch up tomorrow morning. I can't wait!

The Team

I'm happy to report that the whole team was together this weekend. Daddy was on call, but I think his pager and phone were broken because he only had to go to the hospital for an hour. It was so much fun! Speaking of teams, Mommy stepped into the garage to get Bubba supper and I beat her to the punch. He liked the supper I gave him.Daddy gave me a bath tonight and then I played around while he was at the hospital. I gave my babies a ride all around the living room.Naughty! My book is torn. I said that Bubba did it, but Mommy reminded me that I did this the other day.Cheese!I like to take pictures of Bubba. If Mommy doesn't let me take at least a couple of pictures, then I attack the camera and don't let her get any pictures of me.Mommy taught me how to say please. She wouldn't let me use my crayons unless I smiled and said please. My whining and yelling wasn't working so I gave in and said, "please tayons." She let me play with them after that. Maybe the next time I ask for "tandy", I should say please first. (tandy = candy) I surprised Mommy and said "heavy" when I lifted my duck bank and I've also learned to say "pen." I can hold a pen just like Daddy and Mommy. She should do a video sometime. Okay, that's enough bragging about myself for the night.

Dessert

Nana and Papa came to see me on Monday and Tuesday and they did some really weird stuff. They moved all of my toys and Papa climbed on a ladder and spread milk all over the ceiling. I tried to help him. I'm really good at spreading milk all over the place.I like ladders so much that I climb both sides.Mommy went shopping during my nap yesterday afternoon. She said something about trying to get away from the fumes. Anyway, she bought two of the same shirt. Isn't she silly? One is really little and one is my size. This is what's on the front of them both. She also bought some pants that were way too small for me. I got my leg to fit, but I couldn't get it any higher.Last night I threw a big fit at supper time. I wanted my dessert before my dinner. I had a peanut butter sandwich, oranges, milk, and some vegetable cheese noodles for my meal. I had to take two big bites of my sandwich before I got my dessert and boy was it worth it. What was my dessert, you ask? FROZEN PEAS! I like them straight from the freezer. They're super yummy and cold. Life doesn't get any better than that - well, except for when Mommy makes me lima beans.

Big Girl Activities

I absolutely love playing computer games. Here's a link to my favorite game. You should try it if you're trying to learn the alphabet.I get to push the keys and go through the alphabet. I wish I had my own computer! If I had my own computer, then Daddy and Mommy would let me play for longer. I hate it when it's time to say bye-bye to the computer!I also tried play-doh for the first time this weekend. I'm not sure who had more fun, me or my daddy. Play-doh tastes really gross in case you were wondering. Some other favorite activities include coloring with crayons, learning new songs, playing night-night and laying under blankets, giving my babies rides in the stroller, and riding in the trailer behind daddy's bike.

Random FD Pictures

Grandpa and Grandma sent Mommy some random pictures from the last couple of months when we came to visit so I told her she'd better share them with my fans. I found the light in this picture. Yep, I'm going to be a super model. I love to smell flowers!
Here I am with my cousin Leif. He had his first haircut and was looking supremely handsome.Grandpa caught me in an intense moment. They have a long driveway and lots of toys to play with outside. Bubba loves to visit there too because he doesn't have to wear his leash all the time.I enjoyed the butterfly garden some more with Macy last weekend.I helped Mommy sew today. She wasn't sewing fast enough so I helped her step on it. That was fun! I also shook my booty to the sound of the machine. Music is everywhere. That reminds me - I've been going to music class on Wednesday mornings. Can you believe that I get shy during class? I didn't even want to play with the parachute this week. I'm just in a "Mommy hold me" stage right now.

Friday - Monday

Mommy promised me she would blog for me tonight, but she's really tired so it's going to be short. Do you notice anything different about me in this picture?Pig tails! I wore them for the first time on Friday.Another interception?!Nana distracted me from the terrible football game.Weee!Apparently I missed out on a good time at the tailgating bus.On Sunday, I hung out with my other grandparents for a bit in the morning.Last night and this morning, we had a very cute guest. She stayed overnight without her parents.Vanessa figured out how to dump Cheerios all over the floor using a snack trap.We were hypnotized by Elmo.Vanessa brought a fun toy for me to play with.Busy, busy girls. She's so close to being able to stand and walk without help. Fun!
You should check out my mommy's tummy on the other blog. She's huge and I love it!

Go Cyclones!

It's that time of year again. Iowa State plays Iowa this weekend so I have to represent. I wore this right in the heart of Hawkeye land today and all anybody said about my outfit was that I was cute. Ha! Maybe it's because I was wearing my matching sunglasses and had a big smile on my face.Touchdown, Cyclones! And the crowd goes wild...Nana and Papa are going to take care of me during the game so I guess I'll have to watch it on TV while my parents see it in person. I think everyone will be happier that way.
