Beth!

We thought you might enjoy this video of my friend Beth. She loves me!

We had a fun afternoon outside. It was gorgeous and we snuggled and cavorted for a couple of hours. Don't worry. I was wearing sunscreen! Mommy took a few pictures, but she hasn't had a chance to load them onto the computer yet.

Singing

Enjoy my singing.

E-I-E-I-O

I can sing Old MacDonald Had a Farm! I sang it a bunch yesterday and when Daddy came home, I performed on cue. Mommy and Daddy were so excited.

I'm doing better, but not completely over whatever is wrong with me. By Monday night I had Mommy crying almost as hard as me because I was so grumpy all day. I was pretty much my normal self yesterday and didn't have a fever at all until the late afternoon. I was feeling well enough to walk to the park (at least most of the way). We spent about two hours outside yesterday afternoon. I woke up today covered in snot, but without a fever. This post-nasal drip stuff is really annoying.

Hot, Hot, Hot!

Heat has been the theme of the last couple days. I got a fever at church on Easter and I still have a fever. Mommy and Daddy don't like it one bit. I sure don't like it either. Anyway, here are a few Easter pictures. Most of the pictures looked like this. I'm difficult!I stopped for a while to play with a booster seat.Mommy loves me! Look at my cheeks. :(
I need my Mommy so I'm not going to let her type much more. I did want to say that I loved hiking through the woods yesterday. Mommy strapped me to her back and it was so fun! I hope we do it again sometime. The Buddy is so sore that he cried in his sleep last night, but he had fun swimming in the creek and running after a huge turkey.

Happy Days

We've been having too much fun and haven't had time to blog. Mommy did a video of me to make it up to you. Please excuse her bad singing. She has to sing in order for me to sing.
The weather has been much nicer so we've been spending a good portion of the afternoon in our backyard. I really basked in the sun today.

I also like to peek through the fence slats.Mommy laid on the ground so I had to get up close and personal with her. I laid on the ground yesterday and rolled around on some dog poo. Mommy rushed over when I picked it up and tried to put it in my mouth. I love to get her excited! Here's a reenactment, minus the poo. Mommy should do a video of me running around the backyard sometime. I run, then sit, then lay, then roll, then repeat.

Ah, sunshine.I also love to get into trouble with the sand that Daddy has behind the smoker.

A couple of nights ago I said, "Oh boy!" when my daddy let me play with his pager. That got a good reaction from my parents. Last night I let Daddy put me to bed while Mommy went out with some friends. We went to Tot Lot this morning and I rode around on a big tricycle and made a bunch of friends. This evening I pulled my diaper off and escaped down the stairs. Tomorrow we're going to attempt story time at the library now that Mommy isn't having wardrobe issues. I'm still being a very good girl for diaper changes. We might go swimming on Friday morning with our meet-up buddies. We're so busy having fun!

Miracle Day

I was created two years ago with the help of modern medicine. I wrote all about it last year and here's the link so you can check it out. Mommy made a slide show to celebrate the last two years. Make sure you put your sound on so you can enjoy the pretty music.

Mommy wanted me to make it clear that all babies are miracles, not just the ones that are hard to create. We hope that there are many more miracles to come. Thanks for being part of my special day.

Patience

Daddy is calling me a future surgeon and is so excited about my patience and attention span. I spent about half an hour trying to put my shoes on today. I didn't quite get it figured out, but I didn't get upset or anything. I've also been known to spend a long time trying to buckle my feeding chair seat. It seems like most people would get frustrated, but I just keep trying. It's fun to try to figure out how things work.

Mommy got a migraine headache when she was home alone with me this afternoon. She had to close the doors and trap me upstairs with her so she could lay on the bed with the lights off. I played in my room where she could hear and see me. She was so happy that I was a good girl for two hours before Daddy could get home to help. By the time Daddy got home, she was feeling much better. I had a fun time playing with my shoes, reading books, playing my drum (!), playing with Mommy's feet, pulling apart a cardboard box, and spreading diapers all over the floor. I'm very independent and don't need anyone to entertain me!

Before she got sick, Mommy changed some of my wardrobe over to 18 months so I'm going to have lots of new outfits to show off. I hope I have matching necklaces and shoes!

Oh, and congratulations to my cousins for doing so well with your conferences. I hope I grow up to be as good and smart as all of you! You're awesome.
