Play Nice

I was so excited to meet Carson and Corbin that I woke up on Monday at 4:30am and refused to go back to sleep. It all caught up to me during breakfast. I slept during the entire three hour trip and then I met with the gang at a pool. Carson is on the left and Corbin is on the right.
After we swam, Carson chewed on the lid to my puffs. It was a hot item.
I was more interested in stealing food from Corbin.
Our mommies tried to get us to line up for a picture. It sort of worked.
The boys got bored with getting their pictures taken and I continued to pose.
Still posing...
All three of us looked at the camera at the same time. It's a miracle!
Corbin and I like to wrestle. I dunked him in the pool and then I body slammed him and sat on him in this picture.
Carson can walk with a little bit of help.
Carson and I used each other to sit. Isn't his hair gorgeous? It's even softer than it looks.
Corbin makes the funniest faces.
Don't use your teeth to open it, Carson. I'll show you how to open it, you silly boy.
Time for my back massage...my neck is a little tense, Corbin.
After we swam we checked into the Bates Motel. They didn't have a crib for me even though Mommy reserved one. I was so happy because that meant I got to sleep with her ALL NIGHT LONG. That made it so much easier to nurse ALL NIGHT LONG! She did laps around the motel to try to get me to get sleepy, but it didn't work. I was refreshed because I took a nap in the pool in the afternoon.
This morning I got to play with some cool new toys.
This is even better than that monkey cruising toy, Mom!
This chair is way too big. What was Mommy thinking?
This is what Corbin saw right before I tried to dunk him at the pool. I had to show Mommy how scary I can be.
Mommy found another fun thing I could pull up on. I want to be a garbage woman when I grow up.
We had to check under the bed to make sure we didn't leave anything behind.
Mommy played with some photos of my boy friends. Carson has the softest looking lips and cheeks. He has pretty blue eyes and blond hair. Sigh...

Corbin likes to show off his teethers. He has gorgeous blue eyes and he puts up with my abuse. Plus, he's good at sharing food with me. That's always a positive.Well, that's it for now. I'm back home and have a date set with Matt for Friday. Carson and Corbin were great, but I prefer older boys.
There are many more pictures from our day at this site (Jessica's pictures with her awesome digital SLR) and this site (Mommy's pictures) also. Mommy had lots of fun gabbing with Stephanie and Jessica. Imagine that!

Pool Party

I just got home from a pool party and it was fun. Look who was there! Matt is too cute. We hung out in the pool and then on the blanket. Here I am showing him my best side. He's being a gentleman and not looking. He's more interested in food and his mommy. Hehehe...
I got a hold of some grass as usual.
I also looked up at Mommy. I need to give her lots of loving since I keep her up all night.
I'm currently winning the sleep training war. My parents were doing pretty well until I started to seriously teethe and they felt sorry for me. However, Daddy is all for letting me cry and Mommy cries when I cry so we're at a standstill at the moment. They'll help me figure out how to sleep one of these days. They just need to be consistent because I'm so confused right now. Mommy bought another book to give us some help and she asks other mommies and daddies what's worked for them. Doesn't she know that I'm an individual and I have my own needs and wants? She needs to respect that....and continue to come into my room to nurse and cuddle me whenever I want. I promise that I won't require her to nurse me when I'm in kindergarten.

Show Off

I'm a big show off. I can crawl on all fours, stand on my knees, pull up to standing, stand with one hand in the air, sit from any position, and look cute while doing it. I even know my shapes. Mommy was amazed when she asked me to pick up the square block and I picked it up immediately when there were nine blocks to choose from. She couldn't believe it. I'm going to let her be happy and not let her know it was a coincidence. For some reason she likes to call the squares rectangular rhombi. Weird, I tell ya! Who does she think she is, a math teacher?

Mommy splurged on a new toy for me as you can see. It does all sorts of music and lights and it has a slide for the balls. It's loads of fun for everyone. Even Euclid is interested in it.

Proof of Teeth

Grandma listened to my suggestion to wear green yesterday so that we'd be coordinated. Well isn't that special? My teething expression kind of looks like the Church Lady or Mrs. McBurney (whoever that is).
Grandma can't resist my cheeks!
I enjoyed some Chinese takeout in my mesh feeder. Just kidding! It's only an ice cube.
I climbed the stairs and folded Mommy's laundry for her this morning. She forgot to take pictures though.
We tried to get some good pictures of my chompers. My top tooth shows really well in this picture and you can kind of see my bottom tooth.
This is the closeup picture so you don't have to squint. That top tooth is already causing Mommy some issues. I haven't even bitten her yet and she's flinching.
Don't you want to kiss my lips?
We had a nice visit and my parents went to a movie while I hung out with my grandparents. They even put me down for a nap. We went on a walk and I tried out a park swing for the first time. Sorry no pictures of that!

Chompers

I have a big surprise for my grandparents today. Two of my teeth came in yesterday. Mommy noticed them after my afternoon nap. One is on top and one is on bottom and I think I'll be getting two more teeth in the next few days. I haven't bit anything (including Mommy) yet, but I might give it a try. It was terrible trying to fall asleep last night cause my gooms hurt. I slept pretty well from 10-3:30 and then from 4-5:30 and 5:45-7 or so. Mommy abandoned sleep training temporarily because I was in obvious pain. Plus, I got my arm stuck outside of my crib and kept standing up. It was an interesting night. My parents will attempt to get a picture of the inside of my mouth so you can all see my pearly whites.

Mina and Matthew...

...sitting in a tree... Just kidding! I play hard to get with my friend Matt. I think he's really cute and nice, but Daddy told me not to encourage him too much. We've been on two dates in less than a week. On our first date we rode around in our strollers in the mall while our mommies talked. Matt tried to show me how to escape from the stroller. Our mommies dressed us to impress.
This picture is funny because it looks like I'm scared of Matthew. He was touching my foot and I really wasn't scared at all. I think I might have been in the middle of telling him something. Maybe it was "a little more to the right."
This picture is from our date today. I went over to Matthew's house and he let me play with his cool toys. He has way more toys than me and his are more fun since he's a couple of months older.
I especially liked playing with his stand-up toys. I don't have any of my own! I have to use baskets at home.
The plastic bag was pretty cool too. We had to share it. Hehehehe....
I have a pool party to go to on Saturday. I hope Matt comes too. On Monday he's going to get some competition because I'm going to see Corbin and Carson in person. Click on their names if you want to check them out. Their mommies are friends with my mommy and they met because their babies were all due in December of 2007. I love to watch videos of my friends.
.
Grandpa and Grandma D are coming to visit tomorrow. I'm going to show them how well I can stand up. I'll try my best to pop a tooth or two through before they arrive. It's going to happen any day!

Big Shot

The reason I decided to take a short nap this morning became clear when Mommy went upstairs to get me. I was standing up in my crib (holding onto the rail) and I wasn't entirely sure how to get back down. She was so proud of me. I had pulled myself up on boxes and things before, but never pulled up to something taller than me. She really needs to lower my mattress before I turn into Humpty Dumpty!
