I helped make Mommy's 30
th birthday really special today. The first thing I did was sleep in until 8am. I'm a good sleeper in general, but usually an early riser so that was a nice treat for Mommy. After that, I took Mommy to the park. I made some friends too. I know just how to make friends - smile, say "hi", and join in the fun.
Mommy had to wash the sand off of me so she sprayed me down with the hose when we got home. It was cold! We shared lunch and then who knows what she did during my nap.
I woke up a little earlier than usual (3 pm) just in case she had more in store for us, but it turned out to be a boring afternoon. The best part was when she was lazy at supper time. She bought me my first McDonald's Happy Meal and I ate some of it as you can see. Yes, that's caramel between my eyes.
After supper, I helped take the diapers off of the line outside. This is the laundry dance.

After we were done outside, I let Mommy give me a bath to wash off the caramel dip. We snuggled for a while and I made her read me the animal book. I handed it to her, said "uh oh", and ran away. I came back to look at the pictures eventually. I didn't see Daddy today, but he's going to have cake with Mommy when he comes home. He decorated her cake for her this year. Isn't it gorgeous? I hope this is the last year that Daddy is away from Mommy on both their anniversary and her birthday. It should be!

We had to get stripped down before we could go inside the house because we were soaked. I was fascinated by the cartoon characters on Matthew's diapers. Too bad Mommy didn't catch a picture of me doing a close-up inspection! It was pretty funny.
Mommy lets me splash outside almost every day, but it was much more fun with my favorite guy!
Nana and Papa both read me books. Unfortunately, they rediscovered my fear of my animal book. Mommy tried to help me get over my fear last night and had to spend some time consoling me afterwards. Gorillas are scary!!!
Someone finally got a good picture of me on Norman. I like to sit on him for at least a couple of minutes every night. Nana kept calling him Herman. Hahaha!
Everything is a hat with me these days. Aren't I cool?
Papa and Nana "boomed" me on the bed. That's where you throw me around and I giggle and smile. Surprisingly, that doesn't get me too worked up to sleep. I love it.
I had to give them one last snuggle before they left yesterday morning. I love them!
Mommy has to cut this short because it sounds like Daddy is doing work upstairs. Doesn't he know that it's his day to be lazy? Daddy doesn't do lazy very well.

I've been playing with my ark a lot lately. I can pick up the different animals if you ask me to find certain ones. The most fun thing to do is to throw them all on the floor!
Daddy didn't get home tonight before bedtime, but Mommy took me to the park near our house for a while. I was so proud of my big brother. He was so good and cute that another family asked Mommy all sorts of questions about him because they want a dog just like him. He's the best! I climbed all over the place and poured sand down my shirt.
