Sleep is for Babies

Yep, you got that right, the only one allowed to sleep in this house is me. Since mommy can't sleep while she's holding me and I scream when she isn't holding me, I got a good night's sleep, but mommy is exhausted. That's what she gets for not letting me go out past my curfew when I'm 15. I have to sock it to her while I'm still cute and little. I'm really getting her good since I've done that the last two nights. Maybe I'll give her a break tonight before she totally collapses and drops me with her. Yikes! She didn't have the time or energy to take any pictures of me in the last two days.

Pacifier

Mommy still can't get me excited about a pacifier, but I'll take it from anyone else. She has a couple of things I like better. Here's a picture of me with my pacifier on daddy's lap.

Mommy is very happy with me today because I ate at 10:30pm last night, 3:00am, and 7:30am and slept between feedings. However, I'm hungry every hour so far this morning and I haven't slept at all since I got up.

We Must Protect this House!

Grandpa and Grandma H. had a good visit with me this weekend. Grandpa has a bit of a cold so he wore a mask whenever he held me and he washed his hands a lot. He's a funny grandpa because he drew a face on his mask. It's lips were very pink. Mommy had a big break from holding me except for when I was eating. I was pretty much in someone's arms 24 hours a day, just the way I like it. We also went shopping and mommy didn't have to sit down and take a long break like last time. She managed to go into the baby clothes section of Old Navy and resist buying clothes for me. Good mommy! Daddy was on call on Saturday so I didn't get to see him until this morning. He always says "hello team" when he gets home. We're all happier when the team is together.

Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. I had a bath on Friday night. Mommy gave me the bath and grandpa assisted in dressing me. As you can tell in the closeup, I really enjoy lounging in my bath these days.

Make Me Smile

Grandpa and Grandma D. have been here the last few days and they tried very hard to get me to smile. Here's one of my best attempts.
It's easy to smile when you've been spoiled rotten. They snuggled me like crazy and grandma changed my diapers and rocked me in the middle of the night. For some reason mommy is in a better mood these days also.

We went out for lunch yesterday. I had a good time once they took me out of my carseat and snuggled me. Grandma did the best at eating soup and holding me. Here's a picture of mommy trying to get me to quiet down in the restaurant.

Mommy put some weird plastic thing in my mouth this morning. I spit it out. Doesn't she know that that's what she's there for? I don't think nursing off and on for an hour is unreasonable at all. I don't need a plug.

Grandma and Grandpa H. are coming this weekend. I bet they'll be impressed by my size. I'm already starting to grow out of some of my clothes and my wrists are getting chubby. Plus, I fit into some of my bigger clothes so I have a whole new wardrobe to choose from.

Mommy sent out my birth announcements yesterday so people should start getting those soon. I can't believe she put a picture of me on there where I was crying. I guess it was bound to happen considering the types of pictures they use for Christmas cards. Who knows what she'll do to me for Christmas 2008. It's a good thing she feeds me or I wouldn't put up with it!

Baby Legs

I have the cutest little legs in the world. If you'd like to be as cute as me, then buy some baby legs to show them off.

I Heart Mina!

This is Mina's mom taking over the blog today. She's such a little bundle of love that I feel the need to brag her up a bit.

Things I love about Mina:
-She feels like she belongs in my arms and no other baby has felt that way for me. I've always been a little awkward with babies.
-She loves to look around at things and stare at my face. She must be a genius to already enjoy stories, classical music, and toys.
-She gets really into eating and makes grunting noises that sound a lot like "oh yeah". Also, she's a good eater and I'm so happy that we're having great success with breastfeeding.
-She sleeps for a few hours at a time at night so I can get some rest and she takes afternoon naps up in her bed so I can take a shower and eat lunch.
-She looks so much like her daddy.

I could think of more, but I need to get lunch going. In other news, we found out that Mina is going to have a boy cousin today. Aunt Emily is due on June 13th with her third baby. We're all very excited about the new addition.

Here are a couple of pictures of Mina that I took the other day. The onesie was cross stitched for her by her Grandpa H., the quilt was made by Great Grandma W., and the afghan was made by Great Grandma H. She's spoiled with all of these handmade gifts!

Silly Mommy and Daddy

I forgot to post pictures of my meeting with Aunt Claudia S. I have two aunts named Claudia and I love them both.
My mommy is silly because she tries to dress me up to take pictures and it makes me angry. All I want is for her to feed me and snuggle. I'm not a doll!

Daddy is silly because he seems to have gotten Cesar Milan (The Dog Whisperer) and Harvey Karp (Happiest Baby on the Block) kind of confused. Doesn't he know you're supposed to shush babies, instead of making "ch" noises? For some reason he thinks that pointing his finger at me will get me to calm down also. It worked last night and it made mommy laugh so I guess he's not too far off.
