Cuteness

Mommy had the camera out yesterday just because I was so cute.I look like my daddy.Raisins are so delicious that I have to eat the box to get every speck of food.Mommy left me alone with Charlotte for a minute and came back to this.I promise that I was trying to be nice. Charlotte was grumpy before I sat on her.Daddy took a picture of us snuggling before bed time the other night. I'm happy as long as I'm the one that gets to be closest to Mommy.My sleep has been really goofy lately. I talk and sing for over an hour every night. Sometimes I sleep in to recover and other times I don't. I get grumpy and whine when I'm tired so there has been a fair amount of whining lately. I'm trying to master delaying bedtime techniques, but I think my parents are on to me.

I locked myself into Mommy and Daddy's room this morning. Mommy was able to get the door open before I did anything too bad. Charlotte was in the room with me and I was giving her some unsolicited snuggling. Mommy needs to be more on top of things or I'll start carrying baby sister around.

All Better

I got over my cold so Mommy took us out for some fun this week. We went to the last day of Coralville tot lot for the season on Thursday. Charlotte was so excited to go.Unfortunately the car ride did her in again and she did this the whole time we were there. Mommy didn't mind!I loved riding the fish.I loved riding the too small rocking horse. I can get in on my own, but I need help getting out. That's what makes it extra fun.I loved the purple car. Oh boy!I even loved the big green ball!I loved the jeep.I loved the roller coaster. You start at the top.Pause for a second until you get the go ahead.And then you go so fast that the only thing to get a clear picture of is the dismount. Trust me, I had fun.
We went to the other tot lot on Friday, but I'll let Charlotte tell you about that.

Awesome

Listening and dancing to music is AWESOME!Daddy does a great DJ Lance Rock (from Yo Gabba Gabba!).He's crazy!Mommy tried it out too.Where did Mina go?I see her!Peek a boo!Everyone in my family likes to hug, even my little friends.Grandma was here for a few days. She danced and played with me and it was so much fun. I can't wait until I see her again in a little over a week. My parents are going to let me hang out with Grandpa and Grandma while they find a house for us to move to in May or June.

Best Friends Forever

Charlotte and I will be best friends forever so Mommy had us wear matching shirts. Aren't we cute?I'm a silly girl!More kisses for Charlotte. She opens her mouth and wants kisses on her lips. Sometimes she does a half smile after she gets a good kissin'.There's nothing like holding a warm baby on your lap.I love her tiny hands (and ears).Papa held onto sissy for a while too.Nana and Papa came for a short visit on Friday and left yesterday. They're going to Arizona so they came to see us first. Charlotte will be crawling when they return in a couple of weeks.

We're still working on getting a full smile from Charlotte, but she does lots of them in her sleep and grants us with half smiles frequently. We've discovered that she has a dimple on both sides. The on one her left cheek is really obvious and the one on the right side isn't as deep and is lower. Her eyes are getting more blue every day. Mommy says that Charlotte giggled in her sleep on Friday and it was cute. I love it when she's awake in the morning and looks into my eyes. She gets more fun every day.

Naughty and Nice

I love my sister. I even told her so this morning. She's been getting lots and lots of kisses and hugs from me in the last few days. I've stopped hitting her too. I'm a super nice big sister!Look at her sweet pants!She's been awake a lot more. I love to look at her eyes.Look at how incredibly strong she is!Here's a picture of us in our cool stroller. It works great and I love my cup holder. Mommy even has a basket to put stuff in when we go shopping. We've been out and about almost every day this week. Monday we went to the mall. Wednesday we went grocery shopping. Thursday and today we went to tot lots (Coralville and Iowa City, respectively).This is what Charlotte generally does while Mommy snuggles me before nap time.She's a gorgeous sleeping beauty.I got new sleep sacks this week and they're AWESOME! One is purple and the other is pink and I have problems deciding which one I want to wear. They have foot holes, but I still can't climb out of my crib while I'm wearing them. I was tired when Mommy took this picture so that's why I was making an angry face. Oh, and Mommy and Daddy told me they make these in adult sizes too because Grandma used to have one. They plan to make me wear one when I'm a teenager, only Daddy will install a lock on the zipper.Mommy took a picture of me sitting on her lap reading books before nap time today.My favorite books are Green Eggs and Ham and Red Socks, Blue Socks by Dr. Seuss. I love long books and sit still while we read through the whole story.I get a big kick out of the end of Green Eggs and Ham. Mommy tried to unsuccessfully catch my reaction to the ending, but you can get the idea. Say! I like green eggs and ham!...This is what Mommy is treated to during nap time when she's lucky. Charlotte and I generally nap at the same time for at least 20 minutes every afternoon, but sometimes we go for about two hours. Charlotte always wakes up before me because she gets hungry.Mommy got mad today and scolded some girls at tot lot. They were being very naughty. I was playing in the bouncy house having a good time when one girl grabbed me and the other girl hit me repeatedly. I tried to get away, but those girls were much bigger and stronger than me. Mommy couldn't get into the bouncy house to help me because she was holding Charlotte. I managed to get away and Mommy gave me a big hug. She told those girls they need to be nice and that they shouldn't hit. Later on, those girls did the same thing to other kids my size. They were so mean. It's too bad their mommies didn't teach them better and didn't supervise them either. At least I wasn't hurt and I didn't even cry because I'm tough.

Babies!

There were two babies at the house this morning. I loved giving them smooches. Can you tell which one is Alaina and which one is Charlotte?Matthew couldn't care less about babies so I played with him and the legos the majority of the time.Here's a close up of the cuties.I crawled all over the babies, but I didn't squash them. I promise!Alaina is pretty photogenic. Charlotte is too, but she slept the whole play date.Charlotte can sleep through anything. Mommy burned some toast last night and the smoke detector went off and she barely even startled. Today was our first day having Mommy alone with us and Charlotte and I took a nap at the same time. Mommy ate lunch by herself. Can you believe that? I really need to teach Charlotte how to be more demanding.
