Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day, everyone! I started out my day by snuggling my parents in bed after Daddy changed my dirty diaper. He's good at taking care of me. I also drew him a picture while he read the newspaper. I don't know what else we're doing today, but I plan to have a fun day with Daddy since he doesn't have to go in to work today.

Nana and Papa came to visit on Friday and they took some great pictures. Mommy's birthday is on Monday so they took us out to eat and then put me to bed and manned the monitor so Daddy and Mommy could go to a movie. Papa is so fun to snuggle!Nana and Papa both read me books. Unfortunately, they rediscovered my fear of my animal book. Mommy tried to help me get over my fear last night and had to spend some time consoling me afterwards. Gorillas are scary!!!Someone finally got a good picture of me on Norman. I like to sit on him for at least a couple of minutes every night. Nana kept calling him Herman. Hahaha!Everything is a hat with me these days. Aren't I cool?Papa and Nana "boomed" me on the bed. That's where you throw me around and I giggle and smile. Surprisingly, that doesn't get me too worked up to sleep. I love it.I had to give them one last snuggle before they left yesterday morning. I love them!Mommy has to cut this short because it sounds like Daddy is doing work upstairs. Doesn't he know that it's his day to be lazy? Daddy doesn't do lazy very well.

Happy Anniversary!

It's my parents' seventh wedding anniversary today. They celebrated this weekend since Daddy knew he was going to be stuck at work tonight. Grandpa and Grandma came and watched me and Mommy and Daddy went and stayed at a nice hotel. I didn't mind one bit!I showed them all my cool tricks.Did you know that I can read? I went swimming at the hotel on Saturday morning.

Daddy sent Mommy some really pretty flowers today. Isn't he romantic?

Inspired by Elvis

Mommy is doing her best to protect me from the sun. Do you like my Elvis inspired UPF 50 jumpsuit? It's appropriate given the way I like to move my hips. The only thing better than one bucket of water is three buckets of water.I've also been enjoying drinking off my splash mat. It works to cool off a hot bottom too!I hope everyone else is enjoying this beautiful June weather!

Yesterday I hung out inside with Isaac, Kim, and Mommy in the morning. It's hard to believe that Mommy visited Isaac in the NICU almost a year ago and now he's just about walking. He has the cutest smile. Matthew had to come over this morning to stake his territory. He took me to the park with our moms. He'll always be the man 4th in my heart (after Daddy and my grandpas).

Party!

I went to two fun parties yesterday. My daddy's cousins, once removed, McKay and Kelsey, both graduated from high school and they invited yours truly to celebrate with them. I wore a new dress (well, one that I hadn't worn before that Mommy bought a year ago). Daddy held my hand in the parking lot. That's a skill we're working on.Love hurts!McKay let me help open a present.I started causing a ruckus at the second party so my parents brought me home. I fell asleep in the car and they woke me up for supper.

I've been working on more new words in the last few days. I said yo yo, jeans, shoes, duck, and MY dada to name a few.

Nana

Nana came to play with me yesterday and today. For a special treat, I said her name. Once I got up from my nap, I kept calling for her, but she was already gone. I also said giraffe today (well, more like giraaa, if I'm being honest). Mommy was lazy and tried to feed me Kentucky Fried Chicken for supper. I enjoyed feeding the chicken to Euclid. The other day she gave me a chicken nugget and I chose to eat my lima beans instead. What was she thinking feeding me all that healthy, organic stuff when I was little? Now I have too healthy of taste.
Here I am watching TV. It's so interesting that I don't even blink.I've been playing with my ark a lot lately. I can pick up the different animals if you ask me to find certain ones. The most fun thing to do is to throw them all on the floor!Daddy didn't get home tonight before bedtime, but Mommy took me to the park near our house for a while. I was so proud of my big brother. He was so good and cute that another family asked Mommy all sorts of questions about him because they want a dog just like him. He's the best! I climbed all over the place and poured sand down my shirt. Yay!

Adventures

Look what I can do! Mommy needs to remember to push her chair in every time unless she wants me to camp out on the dining room table. It was a gorgeous day yesterday so we played outside. I was saying "noodle" when this picture was taken so that's why my face looks a little funny.Mommy was surprised when I didn't like standing in the bucket.
Daddy is home to spend time with us this weekend. We've already been on a nice bike ride. They're taking me to the pet store after my nap.
