Sick

It all started a couple of days before Christmas. I had a bit of a snotty nose that just wouldn't go away. I was still feeling pretty good, but I resisted my naps and got up early in the morning for a few days. My body just couldn't keep up. One day I fell asleep while Mama was cooking supper.I eventually got a fever (of 103.7 at one point) and my eye got all messed up looking. Mama took me to the doctor and the doctor said --pink eye!I was on pink eye meds and still wasn't getting better so Mama took me to another doctor and the doctor said -- sinus infection and unknown eye problem that needs to be looked at by a specialist. I have that appointment today. Anyway, I'm on the mend. Don't I look fabulous?I have had some fun times even though I've been sick. My kitchen got moved up to the play room and Nana and Papa bought me a table and chairs. Charlotte and I have enjoyed playing with the Yo Gabba Gabba magnet board together.Charlotte is a pest so Mama puts her in the jumperoo sometimes so I can play in peace.Daddy took down the closet door so the play room now has more space and sunshine.Mama's new washer came and it's awesome. Pure entertainment. It makes crazy sounding noises. It's been snowing and snowing the last couple of days. This is what our front step looked like about an hour after Daddy had shoveled.
Hopefully I'll be all better by the next blog post! Three weeks is an awful long time to be sick.

Third Birthday

Can you believe that I'm already three years old? I started my birthday by looking at pictures of my family. I always say to Mama, "I love my family."I opened a couple of presents in my room and then went downstairs to find my big present - a kitchen!Apparently, the kitchen was supposed to go in the playroom upstairs, but it couldn't go up any further than the landing due to its size. Daddy and some other strong people are going to haul it up with ropes someday. Just wait to see the blog pictures of that! Here's the kitchen, all decked out.The laundry component has a couple of cloth diapers and a couple of Mama's favorite jammies from when I was a baby and when Charlotte was a tiny baby.I have a couple of recipes too. I think the kitchen might be more for Mama than for me...I love my new monster feet!I spent some time alone with Mama on my special day. We went to the library per my request. I'm going to get to go to story time now that I'm old enough. Yay!My birthday party started after my afternoon nap. We went to a hotel and went swimming with family.Charlotte didn't like swimming. We had some delicious food after we got out of the pool. Check out my awesome cake!I had a couple of helpers for blowing out my candles.I got some really neat presents. I played with all of them when I got home that night.Charlotte showed off how fast she can walk these days.Charlotte's blog has all the Christmas pictures on it, except for the ones taken while she was sleeping. We went and played in the snow while Charlotte slept and the homemade stew cooked. Amazingly, my 2T snow pants fit great!

The snow is already gone from Christmas. However, there was plenty of ice last night so Daddy and Mama didn't get to go to their New Year's party.

I've been making it difficult for Mama to blog. I fight my nap for hours and want my door open so Mama doesn't have freedom of movement in the house. She hopes that I don't stop napping completely because everyone is grumpy when I don't nap. Blogger sure isn't making blogging any easier. This entry seriously took an hour and a half due to various problems loading pictures. Ugh!

On the 23rd, the washing machine broke. On the 24th, the snowblower and Mama's blackberry broke. It's been a crazy week!

I've been a very sweet girl since Sunday. I told Mama and Daddy that I loved them every couple of minutes at church. I'm a sweet little angel.I've been really enjoying my baby sister lately. She's fun to kiss and play with.I hope Santa is taking note of my current behavior. I only need to keep it up for a few more days and I'll get a tiger.Mama's boots are easier for me to put on than my own.I hope you enjoy my videos. Merry Christmas!

We're a pair.I went to a Christmas party while Mama and Daddy were in Chicago. Curly hair runs in our family.Great Grandma had some nice kitties in her room.I'm officially potty trained during the day. I wear panties during my naps and everything and haven't had any accidents. However, I refuse to go potty in public and have yet to do a big job in the potty. I reserve that for the overnight diaper. You wanted to know all that, right?

I love the freedom of not wearing pants. It allows me to do my yoga moves much better.I've also discovered that I love tights.Mama was going to take pictures of me for Christmas cards so I hid.We made a gorgeous gingerbread house yesterday. It looks just like the box.I practiced posing for Christmas pictures. This is my preferred outfit.Striking a pose in Mama's shoes. Check out my neck.
Life has been good. We're keeping very busy (especially Mama) so the blog has been neglected. Sorry about that! I'll try to take better naps so that she can keep you posted. Maybe I'll even look directly at the camera sometime. That would be a Christmas miracle.
