Daddy and I have really been enjoying the new camera. It has a view finder so we can look at ourselves while we take pictures. It makes it easier to pose!Snuggly facesDon't you want to hold me?You may have read about the family bath night in Charlotte's blog, but here's another picture from that fun night.I was full of kisses and wet hugs.I enjoy riding on the back of the trike with Mama. She's fun.Daddy wanted to show me off in my party dress. So big! That's my impression of Charlotte. She just learned that one recently (no pics of it yet).I love my little sister.Grandpa and Grandma have been married for forty years so we all celebrated on Sunday. Look at Uncle Matt! You'd think none of these people knew a camera was pointed at them. LOL!The big kids had a good time sitting outside.Grandpa and Grandma are still in love after all these years. We played outside after supper. Milo is strong! We took turns on the slide.Wee!Wee!I fed Daddy some food after the party. He likes being catered to.He also likes kisses.Charlotte tried really hard to join in (and steal our food).Mama had to scoop me up to steal some loving too.I've made some progress with learning to use the potty. I go diaperless at home except for during naps and at bed time. You'd think that would mean lots of stickers on my potty chart, wouldn't you? Nope. I haven't had any accidents, but I don't go pee in the potty either. I hold it for five hours if that's what it takes to keep the floor clean and the potty vacant. At least I have good control!? I used the potty one time all weekend. I think my parents are getting frustrated.

The Entertainer

We didn't disappear, but our camera did. It caused Mama some grief. Daddy made Mama stop searching and they got a new one so the blog can go on. I've been really fun. I love to read books to my parents. Pinkalicious is my favorite one. I have to sleep with it. Anyway, here I am ready to read Winnie the Pooh to Daddy. We went to a family party at Grandpa and Grandma's house last week. There are a lot of August birthdays that needed to be celebrated.Macy takes good care of me.Leif and I both got soap in our eyes so then Grandma and Emmy gave us chocolate brownies as medicine. I'll have to remember that trick. The big kids played bingo and won prizes for the little kids.Silly Milo!Cutie Leif! We both love nesting dolls.Nana and Papa came over for dinner this past week so I hung out with them in the gazebo. It was humid. Can you tell?I'm not as sweet as I look.Daddy and Mama went to a Cyclones game and left us kids at home. Here's Gavin asking for me (or we can pretend that at least). I think I have them talked into taking us to the UNI game.Daddy and I played with the new camera. Here we look like regular (albeit, extraordinarily good looking) people.Sad, sad people.HAPPY!And one for the rogue gallery...
In other news, notice that Mama has a wedding ring on in the last picture. She grew out of her ring about three years ago and it finally fits again. Yay for Mama!

We went to the mommy and kids club this morning and I had a great time. I stayed in a room and played with big kids. They even had a potty break (not that I participated). Charlotte hung out with Grandma and the babies. Mama talked and hung out with other mommies. Pretty cool! She was so proud of me when she came and picked me up at the end of the meeting. I did what my teacher said to do and I made a pretty picture for Daddy with PINK MARKER!!!

Party

We had our house warming party last weekend and I got to play with lots of friends. We had a kids' table. I ate really wholesome food - cookies, chips, cheese balls, m's, more cookies, and a dash of fruit and veggies. I was going to stay at Nana and Papa's house, but Charlotte burned out while I was still the life of the party. I stayed up late and made soup for everyone in my garage kitchen instead. We should have parties more often! Some of the guests even brought me presents. Thanks for the new books and toys.

I helped Mama bring Charlotte to the doctor on Monday. We visited Daddy afterward and everyone admired my curls. After that, we got groceries and I was so good that I got to get two pieces of candy. Two, like me!

We went to Kennedy Park yesterday. Mama pushed me in the swing for a long time since it was so nice outside. She said, "I love you soooo much." I said, "I know." She laughed.

I can "read" a couple of my books. Pinkalicious is my favorite, but I can get Moo Baa Lalala done perfectly.

Still no progress on potty learning. I just don't wanna and you can't make me.

Perfect

Mama still thinks I'm perfect. Although, perfectly two is probably more accurate. I love to help cook and clean.Daddy and I made bananas foster french toast.I love to hide from monsters. We have a few in our house. The disco monster lives by my bed and Mama dances with him every night. Roger is the monster that lives in the play room. He likes kisses. I'll make Mama or Daddy take his picture so you can see how pretty he is. Charlotte can be scary too.Along with the good parts of me being two, there are the not so wonderful parts. I'm resisting using the potty. I can hold my pee all morning and I know exactly when I need to go potty (both kinds). I just don't want to go in the toilet....or my diaper. It makes me grumpy when I accidentally go. We went to the library last week and it all started out fun. We sang songs and kissed on the way in. Once we were in there, I got grumpy.I looked at a couple of toys after I emptied out the diaper bag. Then, I pooped. Not so cool. Mama didn't have a stroller to put Charlotte in so she had a difficult time changing me while keeping her out of trouble. It was stressful.I couldn't decide which puppet to take home and Mama had to end up leaving my books and puppets behind. She had Charlotte on her right hip, the diaper bag over her neck, and me under her left arm doing my best to resist arrest. I flopped down on the ground outside and refused to move for a while. It was ridiculous. I apologized when we got home...then asked for a puppet after she forgave me. Ha!

My hair is getting so long that it flows in the breeze.I'm a beauty. There's no sense in denying it.I've continued to enjoy spending a lot of time with family. I like playing with Kelly Darlene at Nana and Papa's house. She was Daddy's dolly when he was little.I've gotten the hang of blowing bubbles.Nana let me borrow some cups to try out her sprinkler too.I love Annie. Nana needs to get a dog of her own to keep!!!
I hope the teachers in our family have a great school year. We'll try to give you some entertainment here. Also, we're thinking of Kris and hoping his recovery continues to progress.

Favorites

Mama did two videos of me yesterday. She sure asks a lot of questions!

Hailey and Macy came and stayed with us last weekend. We did a bath together after we went to the park and got eaten alive by mosquitoes. The bath was really fun!

Mama has been allowing me to go without a diaper here and there. I really should watch what I'm doing when she has the camera out!
